Workshop
Digital MediaEver since its reopening in June 2006, various activities have been performed at the Coptic Museum in Old Cairo. In spring 2008 a two months workshop was held on professional documentation and presentation of masterpieces of the museum and the Coptic Cultural Heritage in its immediate vicinity. This workshop was sponsored by a cultural fond of the Federal Foreign Office, Germany, and implemented by the Institute of Media Research, Braunschweig University of Art, in cooperation with the Coptic Museum. Curators and restorers of the Supreme Council of Antiquities were trained in photographic documentation and presentation of archaeological monuments: How to professionally operate a camera and tripod, set perfect lighting, work with software to edit and archive photos or to combine text and pictures for an accomplished layout.
